March 23-24
Well I do believe this can go down as one if not the
best weekend in Stone Motorsports racing career!!
The tow to Watsonville was not a bad one. The Stone
Motorsports Victory was a fast car and came home with
a 2nd place.
On to our 2nd race in Chowchilla for the season.
Missed the setup a bit and was looking at a strong 2nd
place finish but bad luck on the 98 of Standford would
find a repeat win. Chowchilla ran such a fast program
that we found ourselves done at 7:15 with time to load
up and make it to Merced!
We make it to Merced in time for the unload and
fueling the car. Starting in the back of the field was
fine with me and that Stone Motorsports Victory just
wanted to run!! Made our way to the front and never
looked back! That would give us our first 2 wins in 1
night. Not a bad weekend for Stone Motorsports!!!
Next week we go to Thunderbowl Speedway in Tulare
for race 1 of 5 hope the luck stays with us!

TULARE NOT SO LUCKY FOR STONE
|
|
|
Well, Tulare didn't go as well as we were hoping it would! Started off with a bad p-draw and really didn't get much better. Started last in the heat was not all that bad not ever seeing the track before. On the first lap or so lost all oil pressure and shut it down. We found the oil filter plate had cracked and the oil filter was falling off. Getting that fixed with seconds to spare we went off to the B-main. The Stone Motorsposts Victory was feeling good and made a few good passes but a late race tangle left a left front flat. Lucky for us we still made the feature event. Started the A-main in the 20th spot and it was go time thinking all the bad luck was behind us. Moving our way through the field wasn't all that bad and getting within the top 5 came in time with a caution that would put us in striking distance. With 3 laps to go we got pounded in the rear going in to turn 3 and would leave us locked together with Brown. After help from the track crew getting us apart the car was fine. Restarted with not to many laps and we made a few passes to get what we could.

Victory Chassis go 1-2 in Watsonville

We took a trip to Watsonville this weekend and let me say not a bad choice. Started of the night with a great heat race coming in 2nd. With a late caution we got the checkered yellow. That would put us in the dash. That was a fun one if i don't say myself. With a dash win we were looking forward to the main. Stared the main about mid pack and made our way through fairly fast. With no time we were leading and never looked back. We were in the led with the # 96 of Clay Daly in his Victory chassis in a strong 2nd. That is how it would end Victory chassis 1st & 2nd. Not a bad night in Watsonville for Stone Motorsports. Well as for the rest of the weekend in Chowchilla and Merced lets gust say you can't win them all
